Epic Games vient d'annoncer que 2K Games venait de faire l'acquisition de son moteur phare, l'Unreal Engine 3 pour des projets encore secrets. Les détails sont maigres, mais on sait néanmoins que Christoph Hartmann, le président de 2K Games, a annoncé avoir acquis la licence du moteur pour la facilité avec laquelle il permettait le développement en simultané sur PC et consoles ; on peut donc imaginer tout naturellement que le titre développé sera multi-plateformes. Cette annonce relance les spéculations autour de BioShock 2 (dont le premier opus était lui aussi développé sur ce moteur) mais porte aussi les projecteurs sur 2K Marin, le dernier né des studios de développement chez 2K, qui pourrait lui aussi profiter de cette acquisition.
