« "One of the problems with Splinter Cell 1 was you didn't believe the enemies were real because it didn't seem like they wanted to stay alive," says Lepage, who previously worked on the PC version of that game. "Wanting to stay alive was a big goal in the beginning [of Chaos Theory's development]." As a result, in Chaos Theory guards will lie on the ground, roll to avoid gunfire, hide behind buildings, and generally try to stay hidden as much as possible. "Now when you try to shoot at them, they kind of panic a little and they run away, and then they come back," says Lepage. »
